Purchases and Orders

If you want to purchase a video course, eBook or Bundle (Print+eBook) please follow below steps:

  • Register on our website using your email address and the password.
  • Search for the title by name or ISBN using the search option.
  • Select the title you want to purchase.
  • Choose the format you wish to purchase the title in; if you order the Print Book, you get a free eBook copy of the same title. 
  • Click on Add to cart.
  • Click on View cart.
  • Apply any promotional codes you may have.
  • Proceed with the checkout process (payment to be made using Credit Card/PayPal)

New titles are available for purchase up from two months before it's scheduled publication. During this period, you can pre-order a title at a discounted price.

Your pre-ordered print book will be printed and shipped out to you only when it is published. If you have pre-ordered an eBook the download link for the eBook will be available in your Packt account immediately once the book is published.

Your pre-order payment will be taken immediately from your Credit Card/PayPal.

Charging your credit card for pre-orders

When you place your pre-order, we ask for your credit card details. As with all payments to Packt Publishing, these details are entered into the secure servers of our payment provider. They are not at any time held on our local servers. Payment is taken at the point of purchase rather than at the publication date.

Charging PayPal for pre-orders

When you pay for a pre-order with PayPal, payment is taken at the point of purchase rather than at the publication date.

For eBook pre-orders, the link to download the eBook will be available in your account and Print copies will be shipped, once the book is published. You will receive an email notification from us for the below reasons:

  • Book Published
  • Book Publishing Delayed
  • Book Cancelled


You can cancel any pre-orders up to 48 hours before the title is released. Please email [email protected] to cancel your pre-order.

All our printing services are Print on Demand (POD), as this serves you as the customer by giving you freshly printed books and helps to lower any environmental impact by ensuring that only the precise number of titles are printed to meet your needs. All titles are printed by our POD supplier most efficient for you.

Most delivery charges are shown below, if they are not shown here they are visable in checkout before you pay.

Shipping services

We print and ship our books from locations in the UK, US, Australia, and India. The service and location we use depends on where you are.

Mainland US

Your title will be printed and shipped from the US.
We offer premium delivery by UPS ground service, which takes 2 to 7 business days depending on your location.
Delivery charge is $9.95 per order.


We ship your title from our nearest printer in the US
Shipping takes 5 to 9 business days depending on your location.
Delivery charge is (US)$9.95 per order.

United Kingdom

We print and ship from the UK
We offer premium delivery by UPS
Shipping takes 2-4 business days. (additional time expected for NI, highlands and islands.)
Delivery charge is £6.95 per order.


Unfortunately shipping to Europe through the Packt website is unavailable at present. We are working to get this service back to you as soon as possible, thank you for your patience. If you require one of our books delivered to a EU address you are able to order through Amazon, a link will be on the product page when enquiring to buy from a European IP address.

Important information – if your order is being delivered to an EU territory, you may be asked to pay customs charges. Please do not pay these custom charges – instead please email [email protected] with your order details, and we’ll arrange for payment on your behalf.

Australia and New Zealand

Orders from Australia and New Zealand are printed and shipped from Australia
Shipping to Australia takes 5 to 7 business days for the Victoria and New South Wales metropolitan areas, and up to 12 business days for remote areas of Western Australia, Northern Territory, and Queensland
Shipping to New Zealand takes 6 to 12 business days, depending on location.
Delivery charge is (Aus) $11.95 per order.


Orders from India are printed and shipped from India.
Shipping takes 3-7 business days for metropolitan areas and 5-9 days for most rural areas.
Delivery charge is ₹525.

Asia (selected countries)

Includes the following countries: India, Brunei, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Macau, Taiwan, and China
Delivery to most Asian countries (Japan, China, Indonesia, South Korea, Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, the Philippines, and Malaysia) takes 10 to 12 business days
Delivery to Singapore takes 7 to 10 business days
You pay for your book in USD and we ship from India
Orders are dispatched by a courier
Shipping takes 8 to 10 days depending on your location

We do not ship to PO. BOX addresses - We are unfortunately unable to ship to the following countries: Cambodia, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Myanmar, North Korea and Costa Rica, Cuba, Iran, Iraq, and Syria. we are unable to ship to residential addresses in Russia at this time. You can order at commercial/business address only.

Rest of the World

For all countries not covered by any of the previous listings, we usually ship by Royal Mail/Air Mail.
Delivey charge can vary between destination, prices can be listed at checkout before purchase.

No tax is charged on the purchase of any print book. A localised VAT fee is charged only to our European and UK customers on eBooks, Video and subcriptions that they buy. Customers who do not reside in the European Union and UK are not charged any VAT on their eBooks.

Cancellation Policy for Published Printed Books:

You can cancel any order within 1 hour of placing the order. Simply contact [email protected] with your order details or payment transaction id. If your order has already started the shipment process, we will do our best to stop it. However, if it is already on the way to you then when you receive it, you can contact us at [email protected] using the returns and refund process.

Please understand that Packt Publishing cannot provide refunds or cancel any order except for the cases described in our Return Policy (i.e. Packt Publishing agrees to replace your printed book because it arrives damaged or material defect in book), Packt Publishing will not accept returns.

Return Policy:

We want you to be happy with your purchase from Packtpub.com. We will not hassle you with returning print books to us. If the print book you receive from us is incorrect, damaged, doesn't work or is unacceptably late, please contact Customer Relations Team on [email protected] with the order number and issue details as explained below:

  1. If you ordered (eBook, Video or Print Book) incorrectly or accidentally, please contact Customer Relations Team on [email protected] within one hour of placing the order and we will replace/refund you the item cost.
  2. Sadly, if your eBook or Video file is faulty or a fault occurs during the eBook or Video being made available to you, i.e. during download then you should contact Customer Relations Team within 14 days of purchase on [email protected] who will be able to resolve this issue for you.
  3. You will have a choice of replacement or refund of the problem items.(damaged, defective or incorrect)
  4. Once Customer Care Team confirms that you will be refunded, you should receive the refund within 10 to 12 working days.
  5. If you are only requesting a refund of one book from a multiple order, then we will refund you the appropriate single item.

On the off chance your printed book arrives damaged, with book material defect, contact our Customer Relation Team on [email protected] within 14 days of receipt of the book with appropriate evidence of damage and we will work with you to secure a replacement copy, if necessary. Please note that each printed book you order from us is individually made by Packt's professional book-printing partner which is on a print-on-demand basis.

Below are the steps to apply discount codes for your purchase

  • Select the eBook/print book of your choice and add to cart
  • Click on 'View Cart'
  • In the "Do you have a promo code?" field enter your code
  • Click on the "Apply" button to apply the discount.

Note: All discounts are applied on the RRP of the eBook/Print Book or Video. A smaller discount will not be applied if the eBook/Video is already available at a higher discount on our site.
